Key changes within the 2021 submission
1. Building Form
A new pentagonal form presents a more elegant profile on the skyline and relates to the geometry of adjacent streets.
2. More New Homes
The proposals have been refined to provide up to an extra 12 new homes across all tenures, with residential amenities open to all.
3. Retail/ Commercial Strategy
We have been working with commercial specialists to ensure the right mix of units types and sizes to offer maximum flexibility and mix of uses for the future.
4. Road Layout
We have worked closely with RBKC to develop proposals for new roads around the site. This includes making Portobello Road one-way to help it become a more pedestrian friendly environment.
5. Energy Strategy
We are now following a new strategy that uses air source heat pumps – current technology that follows the latest requirements of the GLA.
6. Community Centre
We have been working with RBKC and Venture Centre to develop proposals including the playground.
7. Residential Amenity
The proposals have been updated to include amenity spaces that will be open to all residents, allowing them to work, meet and exercise in their local neighbourhood.
