Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) granted planning approval for phase 1 in March 2010.

Work on the first phase, designed by PRP Architects and built by Ardmore, was completed in 2015.

Phase 1 delivered:

• 324 homes, a mix of 174 for social rent, nine shared ownership and 141 private sale
• Six new commercial units along Portobello Road
• New market trader lockups
